Dixon Schwabl Receives Verification of NIST CSF Compliance

Dixon Schwabl has completed verification by the LMT Technology Solutions Cybersecurity Program, recognizing that the agency is now fully aligned and compliant with the NIST Framework for Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity v1.1 (NIST CSF).

NIST CSF compliance prompts agencies to better manage and reduce cybersecurity risk. It’s meant to foster risk and cybersecurity communications among internal and external organizational stakeholders.

The process was spearheaded by Dixon Schwabl Director of IT Randy Zajonczkoski.

“By adhering to the NIST CSF standards, guidelines and practices, and making sure our partners have appropriate security procedures in place, as well, we’re greatly reducing the likelihood that confidential data would be leaked outside our organization,” he said. “Dixon Schwabl is committed to being good stewards of clients’ data and information, and we take it very seriously. To become NIST CSF compliant, Dixon Schwabl completed development and implementation in five areas: an organizational understanding to manage cybersecurity risk, appropriate safeguards to ensure delivery to critical services, appropriate activities to identify the occurrence of a cybersecurity event, appropriate activities to take action about a detected cybersecurity incident, and appropriate activities to maintain plans for resilience and restore any capabilities or services that were impaired due to a cybersecurity incident.
